New York City is composed of mainly five boroughs i.e. Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, The Bronx, and Staten Island. Interestingly, every one of these boroughs has the same boundaries as you’d expect from a country. The original term borough was first adopted to mainly describe the rather unique form of government and administration for every one of the five integral parts of the newly consolidated and entire city of New York. Today, every borough offers tourists something unique and are worth the visit whether you’re on a short tour or a full blown American road trip.
